Some Thoughts on the Dangers of Bent Butt Standup Gear

So, I just finished mounting all my reels back on the butts for the season. I have a pair of bent butts that I use for a pair of Tanacom electric reels for deep dropping. Well, after handling 14 straight butts with my Penns, I picked up the first bent butt with the reel mounted so I could tighten the safety clamp screws and poked the end of the butt right into my balls. Not a happy way to end the evening. Be careful out there. You could be next.

Shouldn’t this be in the tech section?

That’s just a precursor to the cost of fuel for a canyon trip this summer.

That’ll cost a starboard nut for sure.
