A Cummins needs 12V to stay running (without a tie wire)

A Detroit needs 12V to shut down.

I know both scenarios well and as I always say, "not because I am smart"!

Great story with a safe ending.

NOTE! I will be at Clearwater municipal for New Years. Please tell me you are not delivering anything then.

Or at least fair warning so I can have all fenders out.

Actually, I’ll be delivering a 60’ steel hull houseboat with a Force outboard and plan a stop at Clearwater Municipal on New Years. Get a face spot on the T dock so you’ll be easy to see.

Thanks for the invite and rolling out the red fenders. I don’t think that boat has any.

No sign of the giant houseboat yet. Had my hands full navigating around all the local tour boats that operate with no regard to laws, rules, or common sense.

At least the houseboat will be friendly fire!

Yep, the local commercial group can be a challenge. Almost made we want to sit back and see what that dinner cruise captain would do with us in his spot.

Happy New Year, and I’m sorry I didn’t make it. The Force wasn’t with us as it died exiting Cabbage Key. I think I’ve just about got the sail figured out, so maybe I’ll see you in a few days... give or take a week or two.
