    Re: Hilton Head To Annapolis

Just got back from dinner. Here’s a pic of the old gal. Weather looks good for tomorrow, and hopefully it won’t be too foggy.

Made it to Charleston with no issues. Boat ran great. North Myrtle Beach tomorrow. I didn’t expect it to be this dang hot, but I’m not complaining. Enclosure looks practically new, but the PO didn’t spring for the aft curtains. Gonna have to Beverly Hillbilly it with a blue tarp when the time comes. That and a propane heater should keep us warm when we run out of warm weather.

Look me up on channel 16 when you approach Elliott Cut so I can wave.
Sorry, I forgot to give you a shout, but we did pick up a good 7MPH push in that cut! Was running 16 MPH at about 1,000 RPM!

No worries. I was running late today anyway. The cut can really give the rudders a work out. Glad you made it. NMB will be a long day tomorrow. Good luck with shoals in the morning.

    Re: Hilton Head To Annapolis

Made it to Barefoot Marina at dusk with zero issues. Ran on plane for an hour and a half or so to make that happen. Never saw less than 10’ of water in the ditch.

Kind of thinking about running outside tomorrow from Carolina Beach to Morehead/Beaufort. We’ll see.

    Re: Hilton Head To Annapolis

Wind started picking up, as predicted, so we opted to stay inside. Talked to Tim Powell who advised against coming into the Morehead/Beaufort inlet. That was good enough for me.

Ended up calling it a day in Swansboro. Tomorrow will interesting with 25 knot wind predicted, starting tonight. We may be rocking and rolling at the marina tonight. Planning on Belhaven tomorrow.

Belhaven is really nice. I rocked and rolled there big time. Swansboro can be tricky (or was a couple of years back).

What was the deal about M/B inlet, weather?
