If Richard doesn't like BBQ then I'll make it my goal to change that. My 16 hour wood smoked BBQ is OFF THE CHAIN.

    Re: Hilton Head To Annapolis

Just got an email that the new transmission is being installed. Sea trial is set for 1/7, and assuming that goes well, I’ll be heading out towards Annapolis with it on 1/13-14. Hoping for a good weather window, but it’s likely to be a chilly week or so on the water! Snow would actually be fun if we have that enclosure wrapped up with some heat!

Heading to Lauderdale next Thursday to do some boat shopping with Robby. Hopefully that will result in a warmer delivery trip to Biloxi after I get back from Annapolis. Definitely going to be going through climate change over the next week or two!

I forget, 'bird, what's your estimated travel time to the mid-Chesapeake?

Well, my flight is booked for the 13th and we'll head out bright and early on the 14th from Skull Creek Marina. Sea trial went well, so she should be ready for the run north. We'll probably run to Charleston City Marina the first day and call it good, but we'll see.

Looking forward to an enjoyable and uneventful trip. Yeah, I know, but I'll try to keep it interesting.

I like the temperature of my boating days to start with an 8 and have more than one digit.

It'll be hull speed in the ditch, so more like 8-9 hours. Might go further if things are looking good. IOP would be about it.

I'll be happy if we stay in the 50's for the duration of the trip, but we're set with both a propane and electric heater for the bridge.
