Flybridge Drains

Hello Hatteras crew, would like to see if anyone has pictures to send or post of "drain channels" you have made that link the drain from the inside of the flybridge to the outside drain. Previous owner used caulk to make channels but in heavy rain and wash downs it over flows these. Thank you in advance.

Under my helm, I screwed down a 1" aluminum L to channel water from forward corner of the flybridge. Without the channel, the water tended to spread out. I let it carry the water to the drain at the rear corner of the helm where it reentered the flybridge deck before draining off the aft corner. Seems to handle it well.

More screws = more 5200.

Try using no screws and just use adhesive.

Tried. The area is a compound curve. After screwing down with 5200, I went back and covered the aluminum with two layers of glass mat just to be sure. It ain’t never gonna leak.

Won't be on the boat for about a week. It's just an L attached to the deck to funnel the water up against the existing fiberglass side. Adding the L makes a U. It's all under the helm, so you 'd never know it was there unless you are looking for it.
