    Anchor Marking Buoy Weight

    Sometimes I even surprise myself.

I wanted to make a weight for an anchor buoy. Had plenty of lead and thought I'd just melt some in a tin can. Out of gas, I came up with this I like better. 7 oz. mixing cup filled up with epoxy resin and lead shot. Got the easy-grip #9 stipple and non-scratch the deck finish. 3.40 lbs.

We're not that far along in the testing phase at this time. Inasmuch as I have three potential test specimens, I feel confident we will, at some point, stumble upon the most effective negative buoyancy value.
