Finally got the stabilizer situation sorted out thanks to a recommendation from one of you guys on here. Decided to rebuild the existing system the previous owner removed, with an upgraded gyro and new shafts. The cost of a new system from all the estimates I received was going to be at least $50k and the rebuild is going to be around $25k. If the new systems were a whole lot better I might have been tempted, but with Naiad and Wesmar the only real improvements would be the gyro and electronics and that is not worth $25k + to me. Should start work in about a month and while I have the boat out of the water will install a swim platform, replace all the thru-hulls, new transducer, and lights. Received the quote for the new chilled water A/C system from Frigomar distributor in Ft Lauderdale and it was really reasonable so that is next job after I remove all the existing working Marineair units and dispose of them. The work continues.
