I purchased six of these lights to install in a friends boat. It’s a 12 V system we turned on one of the lights for 20 minutes and this is what happened. Has anyone ever seen this and if so what do you think the issue is? I’m taking them all back to West Marine.

Are they UL listed and approved for marine use? Looks like somebody dropped the ball.Everyone should believe in something - I believe I will go fishing - Henry David Thoreau

Are you sure they were connected to 12vdc and not to 110 or 24, or 32? Looks like they got cooked, to me.

Did you see a warning label on the original packaging? If it said Made in China, there's your problem..
