    Hot tub instalation

    Hi
    im hoping someone can help us we ar planning to install a two person Hot Tub on the aft deck behind the saloon door on a 1991 Hatteras 52 CMY.
    The all up weight of the Hot Tub including water and two people will be approximately 780kg (0.78)tonnes uk
    has anyone installed one and was the deck structurally capable of taking the weight as the construction seems substantial

    I recently called Hatteras and asked them a similar question. I was told the decks were not designed for that type of weight. If you still want to do that I was told to contact a naval architect to see what you need in regards to extra support.
