What they are doing in San Diego now is the seized drug running boat that get confiscated are not sold anymore, they are cutt up and thrown away. One of the yards I use for surveys locks them up until all the paperwork is done and being it is the government that can take awhile, then the boats go to another yard where they are destroyed. John

Are we commenting from actual knowledge or is it maybe too many are being bought by dealers and put back into drug running?

tag them before sale with something tht cant be removed. Then if they try to use them again its easy to capture them again.

Because when I watch reruns of Miami Vice they're all beating on Don Aronow's door asking him to build a more luxurious 58YF to smuggle drugs.

Sadly it's typical of the govt to have a one size fits all solution and no allowance for exceptions or judgement so a really nice Hatteras is going to die because it was used to do something criminal and nobody has any avenue to get it a new life.
