A$$e$$ing the damage. Quickest way to spend $11,000

    A$$E$$ING THE DAMAGE.
Now that we have the boat lifted out of the water, it's time to get some drydock duties done. With the damage already in place, I didn't want to add to my bill, but some things just have to be done at this time.
We took the boat out to Marine Stadium here in Miami for a day of fun in the sun. But on the way home we stayed a little too far to the right. We heard a little "Thump Thump". Then a little vibration. Then it gets worse. Then "ChaChing".

Sorry to hear... where did you hit? For a while there were a couple of hurricane wrecks in marine stadium and just outside that were barely visible. I would have thought they were all gone by now

So out of curiosity..... the keel sits well below the props.... what is it that you hit with just the props, or was it sandy bottom and the keel just cut through it?

I think it was sand. Always moving but I usually stay pretty clear of it. Because I was on the power, we pushed through.

Did you cut the corner north of the rickenbacker while turning into the ICWv. It’s shallow there. Always been. I stay within 150’ of the bridge and then make a sharp turn to Stbd in the ICW.

When I leave Marina to go back into the Miami River I usually don't go around the long way. There's a strip between Marine Stadium and the Port of Miami. It's about 7 feet deep. Unfortunately, I let somebody else drive. I pointed them in the right direction and they followed my structures. I just didn't follow up. It was completely my fault.

I haven’t taken this in a few years... doesn’t really save much time unless going toward Miami Beach and Gov Cut. And even then... not worth the risk especially since the storm and whatever debris maybe there
