    Wicked lighting strike

I don't know if you've seen this elsewhere but a sailboat was zapped by a huge bolt up in Boston. Someone was recording right when it happened.

I'm sure they'll argue about something. They cant just pay.

I rewired and equipped a sailboat after a lightning hit. The mast had to be pulled and tested for temper and damage. Every piece of electronics was fried. All the engine and genny electronics too.

    Re: Wicked lighting strike

I used to take my electronics off and put them in the microwave when not on board. (Faraday cage) One time everyone in the mooring experienced damage when there was a strike...my stuff was fine.

The keystrokes to program the time and to cook something were only slightly different....

(Fortunately all that was in there at that point was an old obsolete B&W plotter.....)
