Refinish & rehang pilot house doors

Varnished interior, painted exterior. Outside is chipping at joints due to expansion & contraction. What is preferred method to strip exterior, chemical, heat, solvent?Recommendations on recoat. Had good results with allwood on raw wood. Interlux. Algrip?. Anybody know the color. Looks like original Hatteras bright white.

Chartmaker just finished the inside and out of both doors to new condition. I’ll let him explain.

When I did mine, I sanded the sound paint, faired the chipped areas with thickened West System, primed and painted with Imron
