Gotta Brag A Little

A number of you have met my son, but he’s changed a little where I haven’t. This was taken at the recent ceremony where he was promoted to lieutenant in the NJROTC and was named Commanding Officer for his coming, junior year.

His current plan is to join the USCG after graduating college. Time will tell, but I’m one proud daddy.

EDIT I have no idea why that posted sideways. Damn Russians!

Great opportunity if it works out. The hardest part for you will be having to travel to Connecticut Yankeeland for Parents day.

Thanks, Walt. I know you remember my "little" guy who now stands at 6'2". He has talked about a number of things in terms of college. I suppose things will get more serious in that regard this coming year.

I hope he stays around here and attends one of the state colleges for the first couple of years, but he has also talked about going to school elsewhere. I had no clue at age 15 (16 in two weeks) what I wanted to be when I grew up, but he certainly enjoys and has excelled with NJROTC. He's a great kid who has grown into a fine young man.
