The chrome ring that supports the hydraulic steering mechanism at the helm was pitted and the chrome had just about worn away. I decided to re-chrome it. What do you think? Well I fooled you it’s not re-chromed it’s chrome vinyl wrap. It took me about 10 minutes to do and will outlast chrome 10 to 1. Cost was about a dollar.

Re: Re Chrome
Seven,
What material did you use to do this? Looks great. I'm wondering if it might work on my Fiamm horns?????
Is this a dip or a shrink wrap to product?
Thanks

Re: Re Chrome
It’s the same material used for rapping cars. I bought it in line through Amazon. I think it’s listed as 3M vinyl.

Re: Re Chrome
My chrome was peeling off. There are so few chrome spots left in California I decided to use vinyl and it worked.
