    1978 Ideal windlass lubricant

    Installing an Old Ideal windlass. What lubricant goes in the gear Box?
    I know stupid question but if the shoe fits.

    Mike,
    Ideal Windlass uses 90wt gear oil. Just fill to the level of the plug.
