I would love to take credit, but all I did was clean it up, flush the pipes, replace the water filter and the ice maker. Note to anyone who reads this later, the ice maker hose fitting (for the original U-Line model) unscrews and then the line will fit out the back, and connect to a modern connection. I cut the copper pipe and then had to replace the fitting, when I realized too late that I didn't have to.

It is the EdgeStar IB120SS. I got it on Amazon for $299.

It was the perfect width, and about 1.5" short (in my cabinet) so I added a 1.5" wood platform at the bottom of my cabinet to raise it up.

... and DONE. Installed today. Looks great. Will upload photos soon. Thanks for your insight on the water connection. Fits like a glove.

The old icemaker is a Marvel. She is pretty rusty and non functioning. It is headed to the e-waste pile in the next few days. The valve assembly has given up.The Edgestar is about a 64th of an inch wider than the old Marvel. A piece of 80-grit on my palm sander took off enough material to slip it in.The photos insist on uploading rotated 90-degrees. Not sure why.Cheers-Chuck B; Chartmaker
