    First shake down day trip

Finally got a chance to do a short shake down trip in the bay yesterday with a quick run to an anchoring spot on the bay, hull speed on the way down and on plane coming back. Cruised at 17/17.5 kts at 2300 and topped at 19.5 kts at 2600 rpm. That s with almost a month of growth. Boat really pops up on plane with the larger trim tabs, in fact too much tab down and the bow gets too low with too much spray

The Norpro gen didn’t miss a beat, that was it s longest time running in years.

Still a lot of work to do

Hi Pascal, Good video underway. What do you think your fuel consumption is at 17K? And what do
estimate your safe range at cruise with your (I assume) original factory fuel tankage.

Re: First shake down day trip

Based on the fuel curves it should be just under 30 GPH at 17kts

Range should be 250nm with reserves but most longer trips will be at hull speed.

Man, I get 33 GPH at 17kts cruise with my 43DC (400hp Cummins 903's). That's a super upgrade and as my kids like to say, must be 'very satisfying' having finally run her after so much work. Thank You for sharing.
