1978 58 YF going on the market - could use some help

I have had some good advice from this forum and think it is probably a great place for more!

There is a 58 YF in Stuart that has been on the hard for 6 years. A friend of mine has owned it for a very long time (lived aboard for years in Miami as an Eastern pilot).

My wife and I redid much of the interior this last spring (new galley, carpet, all varnish, canvas and misc other stuff) and now we are returning to launch and sell for him as he is facing some serious health issues.

It lies now at American Custom Yachts in Stuart, FL. I plan to launch in the next two weeks and move to Ft Pierce so we can continue "cleaning" etc.

I am sure she will go for a good price but the question is always how much do you invest in a boat to sell?

And what are older 58 YF going for? Is it worth giving to a broker? I have never had much success with them personally but...

And if you know anyone who might be looking...

I'll post pictures as we get there and go through her.

    Thanks!

A good broker will more than make his cut for you. In The Ft Pierce area Dennis Demole with United is about the hardest working broker I know. 321-961-2222

He can give you an idea of whats worth fixing up and whats not.

Interesting that it has the old flybridge setup. Most 1978 and newer had the newer flybridge.

Good catch Sky. It should have the seating up front of the helm. Maybe it’s older than they think.

Yep. Correct. My fault - relying on old memory cells.
