Re: Pressure tank glass relief valve

To late I’ve already removed it. Cheap replacement cost for piece of mind. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions.

Re: Pressure tank glass relief valve

Once I change out the bendix and replace the pressure relief valve, how long should the tank hold pressure of 120 PSI. I understand it will drain slowly but not sure just how long I should get. What is everyone’s experience with these tanks?

On mine, the horn and wipers are electric. Maybe the PO changed them. Is the air used for anything else besides that? It has the tank, but I haven't looked to see if it is operational.

Horns and wipers. I do have a hose and fittings to run air tools off of it.

Re: Pressure tank glass relief valve

Started the soapy last night. I’m going to send photos of the complete system. There is another bleeder value on top of the tank which purges air. The bendix doesn’t seem to purge from the bottom. I’ll send photos this weekend and see if you guys can figure it out.

Re: Pressure tank glass relief valve

There should be a check valve between the compressor pump and the tank. If the check valve is bad, air could leak back through the pump.
    Thanks,

Thanks Tony I’ll look into that as well. Does it have a round finger knob that turns? I’ll send photos this weekend.
