    Datamarine ground?

Does anyone know what this is and what it does (see pic)? I presume it is a ground for electronics, but not sure. Can it be painted with ablative? Was painted when boat was hauled.

Replace it. Its a dynaplate and is a porous plate to increase surface area with the water. They do not get painted.

Its a ground for radios and other electronics.

Replace it with a new dynaplate and never ever paint it.

Good explanation of dynaplate. Confirms info from others posts. Question? Should this plate be bedded with marine sealant? 4200 okay?

Read the site that Beachcomber gave you for installation instructions.
