The story of my Vetus stabiliser install is at

The Vetus system requires 1.5 US gallons of oil per minute. The old Naiad 252 was much more. It was simple to replace the old Vickers pump with new. Vetus supply a valve on their oli tank to regulate the flow anyway.

THe Vetus system comes with all solid state electrics and electric gyro. Probably the similar as in an iPhone. All the algorithms are pre programmed. All hydraulics included. So simple. Beautifully made.

I've looked at hydraulic power packs for a bow thruster. Ive looked at a battery system. I am still leaning to an AC powered setup where I have variable motor speed.I'm actually even looking at pneumatic (air) motors as I already have an engine mounted compressor on board and can easily install a couple of air tanks up in the bow.
