    871TI over heating

    port engine 190 to 200 at 1800. Replaced thermostats,cleaned heatexchangers.guages ok.

    Would appreciate any suggestions

    Did you change your raw water impeller?

    How did you clean the heat exchanger? Thermostat may need replacing. Even if you recently changed the impeller check it, they break apart even when new.

    Impellers, gear coolers , seawater intake , exhaust elbow, any thing along the sea water path that can cause a oubstruction needs to be looked at , along with bottom fouling.

    you using an IR gun to determine temps or some electronic gauges that may have the wrong sending units etc? Dirty hull and gear can cause it to run hot as well
