I am planning on changing my dinghy from inflatable AquaPro roughly 10" overall length with aluminum rigid bottom to something bigger and non inflatable. I have made some comparison between AquaPro RIBs and Livingston 100% composite boats. For the same size (length and beam) including outboard engine size the weight comes to almost the same so it does not seem hat RIB inflatables are lighter than other material dinghies. I am eyeing an 14Ft composite material Livingstone that weighs 315Lbs.

How can I find out what is the swim grid capacity on my 1980 Hatteras 37 that has 5 angular supports? The dinghy I plan on putting on is heavier than the original one whether RIB or composite.
