I'll start a new thread with pics when back in the water in a few months. Need to thank everyone here for their years of content and help along the way.

Amazing work! You should be proud! I have to admit I am a little jealous I have never had time to do something like this, it must be so satisfying. Great job!

What a cool thread. I saw the 1st post mentioned restoring an old Larson and remembered my first restoration was a 1958 Herters Duo Foil Flying Fish. Like this:

My dad actually bought Herters Sporting Goods out of bankruptcy and he went bankrupt on it a few years later.

Dad had a CarAqua 16' runabout when I was a kid, but I've never been able to acquire one
Anyway, 16' is too big for a tender on my 52C. But how badass would it be to have a 1950s finned boat for a tender?

Well, I'm back. I've done a lot of work on the interior and am now able to take some finished photographs. I'll start with the floor. I removed the old laminate on the floor which took a massive amount of elbow grease. I sanded the floors down & used a luxury vinyl plank from Amtico. I fell in love with their product after seeing all the new Tiaras which use Amtico as well.

Fortunately I had enough to complete the inside of the engine room as well. Dotting I's and crossing T's over here.

Our Amtico is 12 years old and still looks perfect. Great choice.

It has been OEM on newer Hatteras yachts for years. Tough stuff.
