Subscribing to the theory that everything is done for a reason…what are these posts sticking out of the top of the shower doors. I assume these are original all three baths have the same doors . I’m guessing it had some kind of mechanism or latch to keep the doors from swinging closed when they’re open but they don’t really line up…?

Just to follow up I called Sam's today and they have the shower door springs in stock.

Good to know. I misread this. I don't need the spring but need the post it connects to. The spring is just dangling. I will try to call them this week

Now this could be a sad issue.
I'm sure that stud is attached before the door panel is assembled (cold rivet?)..

And I just trashed a whole shower door assembly.

I see an adventure installing a new stud on that cap in your future. Already have some ideas.
