Subscribing to the theory that everything is done for a reason…what are these posts sticking out of the top of the shower doors. I assume these are original all three baths have the same doors . I’m guessing it had some kind of mechanism or latch to keep the doors from swinging closed when they’re open but they don’t really line up…?

A spring was tied between these two post.
This spring helped hold the doors in position.
