    Aluminum window frame alloy

Is it known what alloy was used to make the salon window frames? Doing some repair and modification and knowing the alloy/which wire to use would be immensely helpful. I'm assuming a 5xxx alloy but I have no test material to play with. Only the actual frames so it's right the first time or it's ruined. Thanks

Sam's used to stock the original window frame extrusions if you feel you need new window frames. Sometimes it's better and faster to make new one's and have them powder coated or anodized (Duranautic). I bought some lengths from Steve McPhearson years ago and made new sliding frames that were an exact match to the factory units right to the brown Duranutic finish. Sam's may still have some on hand.

There has to be a better product out there than just the fuzzy stuff to seal out the air. Something like bus/RV windows?

Brodus replaced mine. Every year i had to sand prime and paint the old ones once the cancer starts hard to stop. Give him a call not sure but i believe he has two moles one seals and one for sliders.
Mine are fixed the 52 featured is my boat. He did not show picks of the side windows. They are not sliders they are fixed. He will sell just the stock. U do the rest cut and fiberglass to match your sizes. GOOD LUCK
