Am looking at coastal cruising options and wondered if anyone had a 54 ED to learn more about the boat. Thanks!

We are also looking for a 54ED. We recently saw a listing for one that is now under contract (Soul Shine), and really liked the layout.

Re: Anyone have a Hatteras 54ED?
We purchased a 54 MYED just over 4 years ago. Bought it in the Chesapeake, took her up to Albany NY, moved on and have lived aboard since. Have done the Annapolis to Key West and back run 3 times and are now living full time in Key West.
The Extended Deckhouse layout gives you a galley up and large salon that makes for a comfortable home. The rest of the layout is very nice. We added an oversize compressor to the A/C for the crew quarters, removed the bunks and added wine racks for a very nice temperature controlled wine "cellar"
We like to dive and snorkel so after we left our swim platform in the bottom of Charleston, SC harbor, due to an unfortunate mishap, we added a 5 Ft swim platform with a welded aluminum stair from the salon to the swim platform to make water access much easier.
The 54 ED is the perfect live aboard for our situation and she has served us well.
