Love these boats. We just completed a trip with friends from Wilmington, NC to Savannah, GA in 3 days and approximately 250 miles.
The dinner discussion after Day 1 offshore, on the hook near Georgetown, SC did not include any reference to the boat from two first time crew aboard.
Priceless. We just came off of a successful yard visit to Bearing Marine for the last month, which has a new manager, and then this trip. Remnants of TS Julia left little energy, and a favorable sea state.
My crew wanted to see Charleston, so we went inside Day 2, and back out Day 3. The stabilizers worked hard and wonderfully offshore to allow the luxury of keeping things out in the cabins and nothing ended up on the floor.
The Port of Savannah dredging was in full force and lots of container and cargo vessels were busy moving goods.
The best question of the trip from a returning crew member, "So why do people buy the new boats, when we did not see any of them offshore?"
A well found boat, with knowledgeable crew, favorable weather, good decisions and, let's face it, good luck, travelled this week without any issues. Priceless. All this for $450 in diesel. Awesome.
Have fun.
