Can't remember the name but there was a 58TC in St. Pete in Feb-Mar looks like her. Scuttlebutt was Dad pasted and estate valued the boat low and the son said he would take it and fix it up. Looked good when I saw it briefly.

This one has a hailing port of Chicago and appears to be an unmolested original. Would love to check it out, but I've yet to see anybody aboard. It's in a transient slip.

Hey Freebird, are. You at the marina this morning ?
We are anchored a couple hundred yards to the north. I will dingy over and say hello.

The boat and owner were featured in a "Hatteras World" issue back in the day. If I recall correctly the boat was based in Chicago in the summer and would make the trip to Florida every year.

Yes the elderly owner passed, For years he took the boat to the lakes and beck to St Pete in the fall.
It was very well kept and there was a permenant person on board keeping it up.
The heirs just wanted to sell it. It probably went cheap.

Two weeks ago I sold a 40 Viking with 671s for 15,000. The owner is a good friend but had to be put in a nursing home. The Daughters just wanted it gone. These old boats sure are not bring much money.

Down in Bradenton now hanging out with Robby and Brenda, but I'll be back later this evening. Staying on Jim's 55C. Hopefully Robby's boat will be ready to go tomorrow afternoon, and I'll be bringing it into Clearwater tomorrow evening before heading to Steinhatchee.
