Has anyone else heard about this. I saw a post on Facebook at HarborTown Marina off the Indian River in Brevard county I believe the voice in the posting stated. Looks a mess has anyone else heard news on what could be causing it. He was showing countless numbers which appeats to be in the tens of thousands of fishing floating around. He's a link to an article on it.

Re: Dead Fish.
Yes it stinks worse than manatee crap too. We're better on the banana river but not by enough.

Like Jack said. Overworked sewer plants dump untreated sewage in the river added to other storm water runoff nutrients cause algae growth algae eats oxygen in the water fish die!

Re: Dead Fish.
As much as our addition of "nutrients " added to the algae bloom it's part of a natural occurrence that's been happening for mileniam.

Re: Dead Fish.
Actually not. All this crap that they spray on lawns and golf courses are a large factor. But the worst are sewer plants most of which dump into the rivers and tributarys. I've looked at the annual reports for our, Vero Beach plant and the amount of untreated waste dumped in the river is staggering. Now their talking about deep well injection of the effluent into the aquifer. So instead of swimming in it we'll be drinking it.
