I’ve enjoying seeing these pictures. I also got some nice ideas about redoing the helm in my 1979 DC.

I am finally able to reply to this after 3 1/2 months of remodeling my helm. I will start a new thread with the progress but this started as a flybridge core repair project and wound up as a helm painting and re-working

I upgrade my lower helm in stages.
The original original gauges had not worked properly for many years, so found a small company in LA that lazar etches the letters on the panels and sends them pre-wired to Australia.
it was quite a tedious job to wire them in, but very happy with the results.Michael S.
