    Older Advertising

I was looking over some of the stuff I have collected over the years. I have a few advertising pieces from the mid 80s. Wanted to know if the forum would be interested in copies. I scanned one of them for a sample.

Did a quick check using an online calculator:

    $350,000 in 1981 was worth:
    $952,308.23 in 2015

I don't think you can get a new 50 footer for that kind of money today.

Buckshot on the Red Eye! Knew him well. If Buckshot was there he was on the fish and you'd better hurry up and find him.

1985 the first fiberglass yacht? That has to be a typo. I was sailing plastic in the early 70's
Currently boatless, but looking. Avatar is my first boat. Holland, 1966-ish.

They are referring to Knit Wits, launched in the 60's. http://www.hatterasyachts.com/experi...-the-knit-wits
