Morse Cable lengths for Series I 58' MY

Does anyone know for certain, i.e. having done it, how long each of the morse cables are for a 1980 58' MY (not the YF). I'd like to replace all of mine and use the old cable to pull the new one through. Measuring with accuracy, as you can imagine, would be quite difficult, so I'm trying to take a shortcut here and pick the brain of someone who has done it. I realize there weren't a lot of these boats manufactured, so hoping to get lucky. Thanks.

I would call Sams. I just Shane all for in my 53 MY 2 where 24 ft. I was 28 ft and last was 30ft. Easy to change.

Steve McPhearson is incredible about most things Hatteras. Some years ago I had the same situation with my 48 MY. I called Steve and he knew exactly what cables I needed.

IIRC the cables have their length printed on them at the ends.

Some at both. Some only at one end. It's branded into the plastic.

When I found the printed numbers on the motor end they where close to unreadable. I put white shoe polish on the numbers to make them stand out. It really worked well.

The fact that you have white shoe polish troubles me.

In a pinch a bit of detroit oil will do the same.

It's for the grandkids tennis shoes, but you made me laugh with that one.

I'm bothered more by the white shoes.

What's up with white shoes.... Pat Boone wore them and look where it got him...
