I use knots with the big boat and MPH with the little boats.

What are all of you talking about, MPH, KT, KNT. What does that mean anyway, you look like a bunch of High school girls in a texting contest.

I personally use "Country Mile" and turn left at Old Edger's Barn. If that doesn't work I use Knots in real life, and would speak only in Mile per Hour if I was going to sell it. To a new buyer 23 MPH sounds Faster than 20 Knots.

How about the guy who describes his speed in knots/hour. Oops, that's acceleration

It does depend upon your audience a little bit.

Remember Hatteras themselves provided performance in MPH during the sixties for most of the smaller performance boats (check the brochure section) since they were introducing new owners.
