    How SLOW can she go? At idle speed she must rocket out of the slip.

    Big wheels with deep reduction should make her fine at slow speeds. My neighbor has a 54 Viking with the same power and she is fine around the dock.

    They must idle down pretty slow.

    Do boats like this still have trolling valves on the gears, or do they reduce engine speed electronically?

    at idle she runs about 8.5 knots. she has ZF electronic controls so you have a few options. there is a feature that is for docking to take the bite out, and there is a troll valve feature that you can go either by transmission pressure or shaft rotation as pressure is not an indication of shaft speed.

    Good lookin' boat. But the YW ad says it's a single diesel with 700 total power. Gotta love the effort some brokers put into their craft...
