Anybody know of a device to detect excessive lube oil filter oil bypass?
I read something that implied such a device exists. It could be useful aboard in the event a full flow lube oil filter clogs unexpectdly and all the oil is diverted via the bypass pressure mechanism.

Re: lube oil bypass indicator
Someone replied to me offline that they use a RACOR wire mesh screen filter arrangement. It apparently has a bypass indicator so that when the screen becomes clogged, and oil is shunted aside, an indicator is activated so the user knows to remove and clean the screen.
