Ol Lord I brought home a stray

So as of this evening I am the new owner of this hot mess! She is a 1966 34' Convertible that is one hell of a project. I have a long road ahead of me but I couldn't let her go to the scrapers! Through a little wheeling a dealing I've got a set of new engines lined up and a fiberglass man lined up for needed work. I figure a time frame of 3 years on this boat start to finish. I am renaming here Hatattack and moving her to the boatyard Thursday.

    Hi All,

WOW, Do you realize your projects are getting exponentially bigger and more challenging.

Given the great job you've done on your other boats, I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

A fine choice I must say. 22 years of owning mine has now made it a family owned never to be sold memory maker. Any info needed on this hull I will be more than willing to share.

On a vintage Hatt the "ugly goes to the bone" saying does not apply. Strip it, Clean it, and start with a new canvas.

I'm trading the diesel cores off for a set of good 7.4's.

I know it's voodoo for some folks but as far as my budget goes and how we fish here in NW Florida gas power is fine! My fishing grounds start at only 12mi out and go out about 40mi.

Sell the gas engines and buy a set of Cummins 6BTAs or some fresh 3208s

Just cant say enough good about that combo.

With gas engines you will have tank and ethanol issues.

cant use your fiberglass tanks with it.

Aluminum tanks dont like ethanol either.
