    1963 Hatteras Convertible value

    Good day all,

I have a pristine 1963 Convertible that has been in the family since she was purchased new. She has
been meticulously maintained and since her repower in 1982 with GM 8.2L diesels, has only seen 2000 hours put on her. I am putting her up for sale and was trying to see what I should be asking for her
since she is a classic and I cannot find any comparable listings to go from.

Thoughts? Many thanks in advance for your feed back.

    Between $25 and $250k.

Pristine is in the eyes of the beholder. You need to find a good local broker to look at what it could sell for. 8.2l fuel pincers don't get any love from fisherman. They were not a very well liked engine overall. Many problems with head bolts and heads.

Appreciated Scott! I will see about getting some pictures up so you can get an idea what I mean by
pristine. We have been told if she were a car she would be show quality.

That's attractive to some but not all. A boat to be cruised by a couple with no kids or pets is different that a boat that's going to be fished by a serious fisherman is different than a boat that's going to sitting at marina doctailing.

Like what was said in another thread "boats are not like a coin from the Franklin mint" my dad bought a 34 Sport Cruiser new in 65. I like the old trunk cabin look but the market for these is pretty limited.

By the way it's probably a 63sc. Convertibles started in 65. The older versions were the sport cruiser and the sedan. The sedan had a step down into a cabin from the cockpit to the v berth on one level. The sport cruiser was the smaller version of the original 41 yacht fish

So I should put off drinking till 10 am.

If it's a 41 it's the yf or yachtfish. Mr Smith had me thinking 34.

    Time for a jello shot.

    It's 12:00 somewhere.

Our 65 34 was hull #SC157 the 34 wasn't named Conv until the style change in66 I think your 41 was always called convertible 34 in 65 also had a DF model which was called Deluxe fisherman that had cockpit controls. I tried to get the old man to spring for the DF but he was all about no frills back then.
