I found this in the locker behind the TV. It has a small string running to it. I pulled the string, nothing happened. I assume the batteries are dead.

It's a battery tester. Like you said, the batteries are dead.....


(some bilge alarms are independently powered by batteries, might be one of those)

Good thought, it does look like it has a cover missing. We can't get back on it for a couple of weeks to check it out.

Much better idea. We had a Margarita boat club challenge a couple of years ago. We hired some Hooters girls to serve ours and won by a landslide.
