I did some wiring last weekend in the aft stateroom laundry closet. Unlike domestic wiring, feeding wires out of the circuit breaker box and back through the bulkhead on this boat and into the empty space behind the closet back panel involved many trips back and forth to the engine room. It doesn't look like much was done, but my achin' back says otherwise! LOL

I've been swamped getting ready for a trip to the far side of the planet for my son's wedding...haven't had time to blog. I'll probably be taking the next few weeks off.

But I did get the rear panel cut and insulated on the storage closet next to the laundry closet.

Pipe or hose is the condensate drain?

I'll use hose from the AC unit to the welded in thruhull pipe.

The trip to Japan was big fun. The wedding was just about perfect, and we got in lots of travel around the country after the wedding. It was a really good trip.

    Now...back to real life.

I got the back panel for the air conditioning closet epoxy coated and installed, and the air conditioning enclosure shelves are ready to install. Slowly but surely, it's getting done.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I got the HVAC duct installed from the aft AC closet to the salon. This is turning out pretty good! But after a discussion with my Boatamalan painter, I'm going to be shifting gears and getting electrical work done so he can paint the ICA clear top coat in the salon and V-berth.

Yes...in order to paint the top coat, I have to get the electrical done. Isn't it obvious??? lol

Thanks Jim! I got back on it just in time to stop for the holiday and some projects I'd been neglecting around the house. Now I'm back on it again and, as very recently planned, I've shifted from cabinetry to electrical (and a bit of plumbing). Either way it's progress, which is a good thing. I got my AC current transformers installed, chafe protection on the laundry room breaker panel, and the engine room wall around that panel is epoxy sealed and insulated.

I got the battery switches installed, double-checked all of the wire ends to make sure nothing was touching where it shouldn't, connected the battery, flipped the switch...and nothing happened. No smoke. No sparks...nothing. I was very happy! Then I started flipping on the breakers. Again, nothing happened. So I went and turned on one of the OEM lights in the aft stateroom...it turned on! This is the first time in 3 decades that the 12v system has been powered up. It's a big step.
