for some reason I cannot open up "new post"

I can go to all the forums, but the link to the new post page does not work.

Is there a fix?

You're clicking "New Posts" at the top and it doesn't work?
Just worked fine for me. Might be a browser setting or something similar. Try clearing your history and cache. That might help.

Actually he opened a "new thread" about not being able to see results after clicking on "new posts".

Posts are replies to threads.

I believe (am not sure) from my own experience over the last 4 years that it has something to do with starting a forum session and then looking at all of the threads that have new posts, then clicking on "new posts". The forum seems to think there are no new posts that you haven't already seen. Give it a few minutes and let some post activity occur and it usually begins working again.
