This was a bitch of an install at best. I was pretty careful and think that it all went back together OK but you may be right. When I have the time for a redo (or if it fails) I will remove the unit, have the wet end parts on hand and not re-install until a "wet run" with a bucket/temporary plumbing/power proves a good unit. I can also seperate the pump from the motor to isolate the noise. When I found out how hard the removal was, I should have done this QC check before the replacement install but it was 2AM...
