    20 kw onan 32volt starter

    I'm having a hard time finding 32 volt coils to rebuild the starter on a 20 kw Onan gen set. Can't even find a starter period. Its on a 1985 52 Sportfisher.

    DC stuff

    Try Vic's DC electrics (772) 220-8952. He's in Stuart, FL and fixes/ rebuilds just about everything, does it right the first time. Mike

    STARTER

    It appears that my 32v starter was replaced at some point with a 36v. It seems to work fine, though. Maybe those 36v parts are easier to come by.

    Apparenty Onan says to use a 24 volt starter and slightly modify the mounting. I could not believe the cost, almost 1,000.00,
