Bill - what plotter do you have? If it's NMEA 2k or even 0183, you might hook the senders to a chetco box, then to the plotter for your gauges?.. Food for thought!

One pulse generator will usually run two tachs, They need to be the correct matching tachs.
AH HA ! Slowly I turn.... Thats definitely one of the answers I was looking for. If I went with different makes for the lower helm, what would the signal generator look like? Cant do a flywheel pickup with the allisons; would it be on the damper? Ive also heard of some type off the alternators, but 32 vdc would complicate that Im sure! ws
The new Garmin flatscreens used in new generation general aviation aircraft are truly amazing ... with ... the right amount of information ... lots of it!
They are great and available in many trainer aircraft like Cessna 172 or Diamond trainers. Many pilots who fly with the flat screen refuse to go without and figure the $100k expense into any used airplane they intend to buy.

Here is a Garmin G1000 used in one of the new low wing Cessna's ... It's got GPS Map, Traffic Collision Avoidance, Terrain Avoidance, Stormscope, NexRad Satellite Weather, Approach plates overlaid with aircraft image flying the approach and on and on. All of the engine data is displayed and will alert if any of the numbers are out of tolerance.
It's really like an engineer had a dream and it all came true!
The analog gauges are truly used for backup in case the screen goes blank which is possible and does happen sometimes.
OK, I just ate a piece of key lime pie, my brain is nourished and I'd definitely say I'm thinking more clearly. So Willy, what was the question again?
Thats whats in the plane Ive been flyin in/with. Its a 2007 Diamond with the Garmin 1000 I believe... ws
