  1. NJ to FLA

I have a set of tools for Scott (Boatsb) in Cocoa Beach, Fl that I need to get to him. Is anyone planning to make the Fl run this fall? Scott is in Cocoa Beach and I'm sure will meet you as you run past his place..... It would be a PITA to pack properly and expensive to ship...... Walt

  2. Might Need a Detroit and Hull Surveyor in Ft. Lauderdale

We have an offer pending on a boat in southeast Florida. If accepted we plan to have a thorough engine survey. Then a hull survey if the motors are good. Can anybody recommend a couple of people that have a great record please?

  4. Pretty Good Freshwater Deck Fill Adapter

Been using one of these 1-1/4" adapters to secure the water hose to the deck fill since I bought Aslan. The water pressure at my marina can go as high as 90 PSI. Even so, it may take 25-30 mins to fill a 380 gallon tank--I suffer from a short attention span. Finally wore it out, so here's the new...

  7. Anchor Marking Buoy Weight

Sometimes I even surprise myself. I wanted to make a weight for an anchor buoy. Had plenty of lead and thought I'd just melt some in a tin can. Out of gas, I came up with this I like better. 7 oz. mixing cup filled up with epoxy resin and lead shot. Got the easy-grip #9 stipple and...

  8. Water tank out

Removed the aft water tank on our 53MY and moved the berth aft. Gained about 14 inches. Our mattress is a Calif. King which is 84 inches long and 72 inches wide. We have 33 inches between the foot of the bed and the closet and 19 inches between the foot of the bed and the corner of the head. It is...

  10. just shopping looking for real life info

Hey guys, I'm new here. I was checking out a 1995 Hatteras sport express, it is powered by DD6v92's. I was wondering if anyone on this site owns or previously owned one of these boats, and if they liked the boat and what kind of performance will I see with these motors. Fuel burn, speed, was it...

  11. Info On Boat Named Windfall

Our search for a MY within our budget in the Great Lakes has reached an end. Now we are expanding our search to the eastern half of the country. We are planning a trip to Stuart Florida this week to look at a 1989 60MY. Any local knowledge of this boat would be greatly appreciated. Her name is...

  15. Fire! Tidwater Yacht Marina

We came through Dorian nicely however for some reason the marina management (Suntext Marinas) decided to turn all the power off in the marina after the storm was moving away. We had tropical storm conditions and a 2' surge at the time of high tide. So Suntext management decides to cut power at...

Unfortunately, my 58 LRC will be staying in Mystic, CT for the winter. I will take the time to do some needed maintenance, upgrades and repairs. I will be staying in the water and will shrink wrap down to the rub rail. On my previous boat (1989 44 Ocean SS), I always stayed in the water in the...
