It was a real picnic staying on the boat last night. In ZERO VIZ, a lightning flash showed the tugs stern had swung out almost perpendicular due to a...

  2. California sales tax changes again

Any CA boaters hear that the sales tax exemption changed back to 90 days out of state from 1 year after the sale? A broker told me today. I was able to find an article on line from a week or so ago that backed it up. Anyone else hear the same? If so, when does/did it go into effect?

They are very well maintained, and just curious...

Sorry, no marine segue for this post. Unfortunately, I just buried a good friend, with a great family and wife, former All State football player. During the funeral, one of the speakers, also a friend, mentioned one of the crazy things we all used to do, when we had "real winters" in N. MI...

  16. This is what it's all about!

An island anchorage in the Canada's North Channel where you have the whole island all to yourself, a bay with a beach and a Hatteras. This was yesterday. Yes, I loved the Keys and the Outer Banks too, but you share it with so many other people there. Doug Shuman
