  3. removing a teak transom

    Has anyone here ever removed a teak transom or know someone who had it done? I think it woud update the boat and remove whats got to be a lot of weight. I assume boats with the teak transom are built the same as those without the teak and it is just added.

    Any CA boaters hear that the sales tax exemption changed back to 90 days out of state from 1 year after the sale? A broker told me today. I was able to find an article on line from a week or so ago that backed it up. Anyone else hear the same? If so, when does/did it go into effect?

    Trying to answer a question for my son (and myself... :)) We have several tugs that stay permanatly at our small port in Morehead, and each is adorned with a large letter of the aphabet (one has an M, e.g) that isn't related to the boat name...
