  1. Port Washington, NY - Long Island Sound

    Other than Brewer's Capri Marina, can anyone recommend any of the other marinas/yacht clubs in Port Washington for a weekend trip? They would have to accomodate at least two boats in the 55-60' range with 50 amp electric service.

    I need some new reading material for the train ride to work and was wondering what you guys subscribe to as far as yachting magazines go. I like reading how-to articles, both mechanical and seamanship, as well as good ports to visit – especially in the North East. Thanks!

    I just purchased the book Yachts and Ships of Jack Hargrave on Amazon.com. This is a wonderful book. It has a great history on the Hatteras Company and Mr. Hargrave. I recommend it highly to all. You could put it on your Christmas wish list. Spin

  13. small boat fire

    24ft fishing boat refueled, pulled away from gas dock, exploded, two fishermen 2cnd degree burns, jumped into river, boat burned to waterline. Both guys are alright. cause was a leaking refueling line.
